Self-service LDAP and domain password change
Signed-in users change their password through the web directly in the portal. No password sent to support and no waiting for a manual administrator action.
The application is available only to a user signed in through an assigned LDAP profile. It verifies the current password, checks the new password against portal security rules and applies the change directly in the directory service. It creates neither another account nor a second set of credentials; repeated failed attempts are limited and a successful change is recorded in the audit trail.
Verification directly against LDAP
Only the signed-in LDAP user can make the change. The current password is verified against the user’s directory account and the new password is sent through the same protected connection.
Password rules before submission
The form shows the new-password requirements as the user types and the server validates them again before changing the directory account.
Fewer tickets, retained control
Users do not share passwords with support. Repeated failed attempts are limited and every successful change remains recorded in the security audit.
